Jeff Holt, MD, FACC, FSCAI, is a cardiologist who provides heart diagnostics and treatment procedures so his patients have the best possible quality of life. He offers transesophageal echocardiogram (TEE), echo, nuclear, diagnostic left heart catheterization, right heart catheterization, temporary cardiac pacing and more.
Wanting to be a doctor since his last year in college, Dr. Holt treats adults 18 and older. After several years of family medicine, he was drawn to cardiology and finding solutions for individuals’ heart problems. Fascinated by cardiac physiology and technological innovations that lead to effective treatments for many heart conditions, Dr. Holt said he appreciates the “mix of science and the art of medicine” needed for individualized care.
Originally from Shreveport, Dr. Holt graduated from LSUHSC-Shreveport School of Medicine and completed a rural family medicine residency in Vivian, Louisiana. He then specialized in internal medicine with a residency back at LSUHSC-S and subspecialty fellowships in general cardiology and interventional cardiology at University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio.
Dr. Holt is board certified in both cardiovascular disease and interventional cardiology by the American Board of Internal Medicine. His memberships include fellow of the American College of Cardiology (FACC), fellow of the Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions (FSCAI), American College of Physicians and American Heart Association.
Away from the clinic, Dr. Holt enjoys time with his wife, Cindy, and their two daughters. He personally enjoys the outdoors, from hunting to working on his farm with corn/bean/rice row crop operations and cutting hay.
