Jonathan Davis, MD, FACC, FSCAI, is a cardiologist at Pierremont Cardiology who welcomes patients with heart conditions that affect lifestyle and longevity. His practice works with heart rhythm, stress testing, heart failure and heart valve problems, with an interest in coronary and peripheral vascular interventions, PFO and other atrial septic defect closures, transesophageal echocardiography, nuclear cardiology, coronary CT angiography and intravascular ultrasound. He specializes in interventional cardiology with training in techniques to open blood vessels to the heart. Dr. Davis looks forward to working with patients each day at Pierremont Cardiology. He educates and counsels people about treatment options that can improve their quality of life and longevity.
A Shreveport native, Dr. Davis graduated from Loyola College Prep. After college at Texas A&M University, he earned his Doctor of Medicine at LSU Health Sciences Center-Shreveport School of Medicine. He served an internal medicine residency at University of Alabama in Birmingham, where was named chief resident and was an instructor of medicine. Dr. Davis completed two fellowship trainings in general cardiology and interventional cardiology at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center in North Carolina. He was chief fellow.
Dr. Davis holds American Board of Internal Medicine certifications in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease and interventional cardiology. He is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology (FACC) and a Fellow of the Society for Cardiovascular Angiography & Interventions (FSCAI). Other memberships include Shreveport Medical Society, Louisiana State Medical Society and American Heart Association.
Away from the clinic, Dr. Davis enjoys spending time with his wife, Elizabeth. They have three children.
